A few weeks ago I introduced you to a colleague of mine, Laura Simms, who is helping people find purpose-driven careers that make a difference and make a nice living too. Laura introduced her book, “The Purpose Paradigm” last month, and you can read my review of it here.
I decided it would be fun to have Laura over for a cup of tea and a little chat. I knew that career coaching was not her first career, and I was curious to hear the story of how she came to be where she is, doing what she’d presently doing. I think you’ll be a little surprised when you hear about the road she took.
You’ll also hear about the hesitancy, doubt, and some fear that came with making a big career transition – maybe something you know a little about. So take heart. And listen for how Laura defined her unique career path – one that fits her well and gives her creativity a variety of playgrounds to explore.
Which part of our conversation resonated the most with you? Have you been afraid to give yourself permission to “do it your way”? I’d love to hear your thoughts and questions.
